James was born in Nacogdoches Texas and raised nearby in Timpson Texas. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University’s School of Nursing. James discovered a passion for anesthesiology early in nursing school where he made the decision to pursue a career in Nurse Anesthesia. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University where he earned his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 2010. Since that time he has worked primarily in Nacogdoches as a CRNA providing anesthesia services at multiple facilities. James is also a 2019 graduate of Texas Christian University’s Advanced Pain Management Fellowship for CRNAs. He currently provides Chronic Pain Services in Nacogdoches. In 2018, he co-founded Grasshopper Anesthesia Services with his wife Kendra, who is also a CRNA. Together they have grown Grasshopper Anesthesia’s services covering seventeen exclusive locations across Texas.
